So much more than just cards!

So one of my favourite things about playing with paper is that you can tailor a project to meet any of your needs.

Living in the Niagara Region with so many amazing VQA wines it tends to be a gift we bring when we are going almost anywhere.

I personally feel wine bags are overused as you already know what’s in them! So one of my favourite things to do is make a tag like the one below that encompasses the occasion!

It’s unique, fits the occasion, super easy to make and  doubles as a card – and hostess I’ve given them to love it!

Papercrafting can be about more than just cards!

Sending you love – Easy Events

Easy Events is another versatile set in the 2012-2013 Stampin’ Up! catalogue. In this card, I used the sending you love stamp to make a card for some dear friends. It’s a great example of how even though the words are right below the image on the stamp that you can ink them separately to create whatever type of image you are looking for!

Sending you Love – Part of the Easy Events Stamp Set

What I used:

  • Stamp: Easy Events
  • Ink: Basic Black, Early Espresso, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral
  • Paper: Early Espresso, Whisper White, Lucky Limeade
  • Embossing: Lattice Folder
  • Punches: Modern Label, Scallop Circle, Circle Punch

The whole Easy Events set is below – check out the great images!

Simple Sympathy

As I’ve mentioned before, I think Thoughts and Prayers is one of the most versatile sets in the Stampin’ Up! catalogue. It’s also so easy to make quick, beautiful cards with!

I was in need of our more masculine sympathy card and this Thoughts and Prayers card was simple and beautiful!

What I used:

  • Stamp – Thoughts and Prayers
  • Paper – Crumb Cake (base), Soft Suede
  • Ink – Soft Suede
  • Embossing – Lattice embossing folder

If you click on the photo and take a closer look you can see how the embossed piece of Soft Suede paper really takes the card to the next level. This is a clean and simple card that is perfect to send to anyone who might need it!

Triple Treat Flower

Another one of my favourite retiring sets is the Triple Treat Flower due to it’s versatility. The flower fits with 3 Stampin’ Up! punches to easily separate all three sections of it. If you don’t have the punches the flower is easily cut out to get the same desired effect.

Below are two cards made with this stamp and it’s only $10.95! It is only available until May 31st!

Triple Treat Flower in two of the 2011-2013 In Colours!

More Crazy for Cupcakes!

As I mentioned in a previous post, you only have until MAY 31st to purchase the retiring stamps sets before they are gone for good. One of my favourite sets retiring is Crazy for Cupcakes and I wanted to show you a great non-cupcake example of why this set is a must have for your collection.

I did two versions of this card – one more feminine and one more masculine all using the 2011-2013 In Colours!

Great versatile stamp for any celebration!

The Card on the left has an Island Indigo Card base while the one on the right is Wisteria Wonder. Together they feature all five of the 2011-2013 In Colours.
