So this week was the first time I had a chance to use the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set. I made a simple sympathy card that can be seen below:
- Stamp: Thoughts and Prayers
- Ink: Early Espresso and Garden Green Stampin’ Write Markers
- Paper: Garden Green and Early Espresso
- Embossing: Perfect Polkadots Embossing Folder
The Little Touch: So what I love about this stamp is the ability to change the look of it every time you use it. For this card, I used the Stampin’ Write Markers to colour the leaves a bit of a darker more subdued green (Garden Green) and the trunk a deep brown (Early Espresso). For the envelop I wanted something simpler and more subdued so I stamped the tree off centre in a solid colour of Early Espresso (see below). So for this card the little touch would be the ability to use the same stamp in two different ways quickly and easily.
Inside Verse: Praying for friends to comfort you, faith to uphold you, and loving memories to heal your heart.
Other Options: This set is super versatile as where the thinking of you is stamped you are also able to use Sharing in your Sorrow, Praying for You, Get Well Soon and the corresponding verses that go with it.
I will be posting a few more cards made with this set in the coming weeks. And card making is all about customizing and individualization which is another reason that this set is great to have.
